    A jam-packed day full of surprises at this year’s Crackin’ Christmas Celebration on Sunday 14 December. This year’s Christmas Market at the Natural World Centre promises to be a festive day of live music, festive performances and delicious food for all the family. Over 20 stalls will offer a unique range of crafted items, some from local crafters and artists including jewellery, knitted wear, felts and beauty products. There will also be other great gift ideas including homemade jams & chutneys and tasty cheese boards – there’s something for everyone!

    Dance Factor needs your vote to win £50,000 from ITV’s the People Million’s

    Dance Factor is one of only six groups in the ITV South Yorkshire Region which have been shortlisted to battle for the public vote and £50,000 worth of lottery funding from ITV’s The People’s Millions TV Competition. artsNK is one of the partners working on this exciting project led by community group InspireDance. Dance Factor takes dance into local communities, providing 11-18 year-olds with free evening street dance sessions which culminate in a Grand Final showcase event. The People’s Millions funding would enable Dance Factor to span across seven districts of Lincolnshire and engage in excess of 750 young people in dance. Dance Factor will make a bid for viewers’ support to win the cash prize with the public voting by phone to decide who wins the funding.

  • Look out for a Living Statue coming to Sleaford

    If you are visiting Sleaford on Saturday 11 October, look out for a living statue representing a well-known figure from the town’s recent past.

    artsNK and Sleaford & District Civic Trust, with the support of NKDC, are promoting The Les Gostick Memorial Project, which aims to create a life-size, life-like bronze sculpture of this local hero. To help publicise the project, and to garner support and feedback, a living statue will be taking up position in Southgate, adjacent to the Handley Monument, (the preferred location for the final sculpture) in various slots between 11.30am and 2.00pm on Saturday 11 October.

Funded by Arts Council England, The Sleaford Remembers project is part of the Centenary events, remembering those who fought in WW1, and brings together theatre, music and a digital installation, along with nearly 1000 children from 4 participating schools.

  • A new Altered commission from award-winning artists Davy and Kristin McGuire is coming to Colsterworth

    The latest commission in the Altered art in churches programme, is Ophelia’s Ghost, a haunting installation from award-winning artists Davy and Kristin McGuire. Based on Shakespeare’s tragic character Ophelia, the work uses both audio and visual techniques to bring audience members face to face with Ophelia at the moment of her watery demise. The setting of St John the Baptist Church, Colsterworth, will lend an atmosphere of ancient peace to this moving and beautiful work.
