    Meet the Artists – Come & Meet the Artists of Touring Exhibition ‘Ebb & Flow’ on Sunday 5 October 11am-3pm

    ‘Ebb and Flow’ is a touring exhibition inspired by marsh and freshwater landscapes and the wildlife to be found living in Beckingham Marshes. There are a number of artists featuring in this collective exhibition that explores both conceptual and traditional responses and methods.

    Amongst those to feature will include work by Vincent Canning who works in willow, paper and found and recycled materials, botanical Illustrations by Amanda Willoughby, ceramics by Shaun Clark and Kelly Fisher as well as textile work by Julie Willoughby and Ruth Pigott.

    A chance to contribute to Sleaford’s new public artwork

    Free sculpting workshops with artist Michael Condron

    Michael Condron is creating a brand new piece of public art which will be sited at the Renewable Energy Plant on Boston Road, Sleaford in February 2014.

    As part of this exciting project, Michael Condron will be delivering FREE workshops exploring the processes that drive the power station.  Members of the public who attend the workshops will also be able to contribute to the final public artwork.

    Michael will demonstrate how to create card sculptures based on the power station journey, from the farmers’ field to electricity.  The work created during these sessions will contribute to the final public artwork’s design. People can take their own work home at the end of the session.

    The workshops will be held at The National Centre for Craft & Design, and are open to everyone.    They will be held on Thursday 30 Jan, Friday 31 Jan and Saturday 1 Feb 2014 at 10.30am-12.30pm, 1-3pm and 3.30-5.30pm. On Thursday there will also be an evening session from 6pm–8pm. The Saturday sessions are ideal for families, children and young people.

    The Dance team at artsNK has a full schedule of performances planned for early 2014. On 30 January, as part of the Activate Scheme, Lincoln U.Dance Performance will take place at Terry O’Toole Theatre (TOTT).  This will be the first time that a sharing platform will take place for Lincoln based primary and secondary schools. It’s a level 1 local U.Dance platform featuring groups from the city only.
