We’re pleased to be involved again this year in a series of Free Wellbeing days which aim to encourage people of all ages to Be Active, Get Creative and Feel Inspired.
Many North Kesteven residents and visitors enjoyed similar days in 2015, and the Partnership NK ‘our communities’ team is keeping these great events going in 2016, but with the added benefit of other groups getting involved to give people attending a wider offer of experiences and advice.
We are working with various partners including NK Outreach, Vitality and NK Social Strollers to put on these events. Other community organisations including the volunteer services, wellbeing service and local activity groups will also be involved.
We’ll be leading a craft based activity at the events suitable for all ages, whilst the NK outreach team will be offering a fun indoor obstacle course as well as outdoor activities (weather permitting). For a more gentle form of exercise then you can Feel Inspired with a demonstration from Vitality Lincs – movement to music for the over 60s. There’s no need to book for any of the events just drop-in, have a go and find out more!
The first Wellbeing days in Metheringham, One NK, North Hykeham, Billinghay, Cranwell, Washingborough and Brant Broughton were enjoyed by a wide range of people. The final NK Wellbeing day of 2016 will take place in October half term at Bracebridge Heath Village Hall, on Friday 28th October (11am – 3pm).
