New Pebble Mosaic for Sleaford by MosArt

20th September 2017

Sleaford mosaic group MosArt have created a wonderful new pebble mosaic for a seating area on the Sleaford riverside path towards Rauceby (near the Electric Club, Sleaford).

The project was supported by the David Trethewey Memorial fund, and Sleaford in Bloom was a project partner. The mosaic will be officially opened by the mayor of Sleaford and Councillor Jan Mathieson in October.

MosART was formed in 2013 following the involvement of Sleaford residents with the creation of the mosaic which sits under the floor of the new Sleaford Leisure centre. artsNK provides them with workspace, equipment, materials and guidance and the group now meets on a regular basis.

Marion Sander from artsNK commmented:

“It is wonderful to see the achievements of a group that we have helped set up following the project we led creating the mosaic at Sleaford Leisure Centre. Since they have formed as an independent group in 2013, MosArt members have continued to update their skills and drive forward new projects for the group. This mosaic is a wonderful example of a voluntary arts group working on something to enhance and benefit their local area.”
