Lincolnshire youth dance companies and groups are encouraged to apply to True Motion, 2017, a county platform which showcases the talent of the region.
artsNK is pleased to be partnering once again with Dance 4, to present True Motion, the Lincolnshire County Platform for U.Dance. U.Dance is a national framework that helps improve and inspire dance performance opportunities for children and young people across England, led by One Dance UK.
Applications are now open to take part in True Motion 2017, to celebrate the talent of young performers and creators across the county. The event will take part at Lincoln Performing Arts Centre on Saturday 4th March, 2017.
The opportunity is open to any youth dance companies and groups working in any dance form including – South Asian, African, Urban/Street, Contemporary and Classical styles. Applications are particularly encouraged from inclusive groups and groups that include disabled dancers with physical or Special Educational Needs (SEN).
This year six groups from the East Midlands county events will have the opportunity to work with a prestigious choreographer at iC4C in Notttingham for a day of exploration with choreographic skills, ideas and practice. Two groups will then be chosen to progress to the U. Dance U.Dance 2017 National Festival, which will take place in Birmingham between Thursday 13 and Sunday 16 July 2016.
True Motion 2017 will take place on Saturday 4th March, at LPAC Lincoln. Applications are now open until Friday 2nd December.
