artsNK believes that the arts contribute significantly to the artistic, cultural and economic life of communities, building social cohesion, making special places as well as improving the health and wellbeing of individuals.
Our Dance team deliver and develop dance opportunities throughout Lincolnshire, initiating high quality dance projects in schools, the community, leisure centres and at outdoor events such as local festivals. Our visual arts programme includes, education interventions in schools and university, arts and heritage trails, public realm projects, festivals and exhibitions and working with communities to develop projects, and provide people with tasters of particular techniques. We also have a strong track record of producing festivals, working within communities to develop festivals that are rooted within particular locations
artsNK are managed by Lincs Inspire on behalf of North Kesteven District Council.
From the 1 October artsNK has merged with The National Centre for Craft and Design. The aim of NCCD and artsNK remains to deliver a high quality exhibitions and community arts programme to Sleaford, North Kesteven and the wider community.
As members of the NK Arts Partnership, NCCD and artsNK have worked closely together on projects such as the Ridges & Furrows Arts & Heritage trail, to provide quality arts experiences to residents of North Kesteven, and Lincolnshire. We are currently an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation with The National Centre for Craft and Design and Design Factory through North Kesteven District Council.
Our visual art and dance team are now working in partnership with The National Centre for Craft and Design to deliver programmes that meet the needs of the residents of North Kesteven.
